Indian Slipper Worksheet

You will need:

Coloured card for both sole and upper
Glue
Glitter


Trace both the sole and the upper section of the slipper.

Using these as templates cut out the shapes from the coloured card.

Make small cuts into the edge of the upper as shown in the diagram (this eases the card when glueing it to the sole.)

Glue the two pointed ends of the slipper together and leave to dry for a minute.

When these are firmly held, start to glue the upper part of the slipper to the sole.

Once the upper part is in place, curl the pointed end of the slipper around until you get the desired effect, then tuck some scrunched up paper inside to keep the shape while you decorate the top.

Using the glitter, sequins and beads decorate the upper part of the slipper in what ever pattern you like.

(If you want to make a pair of slippers you will need to reverse the templates before cutting out the coloured card)
